Giving Space to Self & Others for an Aligned Life


Why would you be possessive about any person, pet, an object, a certain situation and deprive them of the space and liberty they deserve? Shifting from possessiveness and clingy behaviour to allowing space for others involves recognising that love and honour is rooted in realigning to security, trust, respect and the faith within, not control.


Understand that possessiveness often stems from insecurity, some serious loss or trauma. Possessiveness is merely an attempt to prevent further loss in the future. And that is suffocating for your self and others.


How about building self-confidence and addressing any underlying fears. Practice self-awareness to notice when these behaviours arise and challenge the association of possessiveness with love. Remember that healthy relationships thrive on mutual freedom and individuality. Have the faith that people, possibilities meant to be in your space will remain in your space.


Feeling Good Enough: Overcoming the Fear of Stagnation



Who doesn't want to feel good enough, adequate, and accomplished? We all strive for this sense of fulfillment. However, at a subconscious level, we often resist feeling truly adequate because of a deep-seated fear of stagnation. What if we become complacent and stop growing once we feel accomplished? To avoid this, we continually strive for betterment and improvement, often labeling ourselves as "not enough." This feeling, ironically, can hinder our progress in life.


The Subconscious Game of Inadequacy


This persistent feeling of inadequacy is often reinforced by those around us—friends, relatives, colleagues, bosses, and even customers. Just when you start feeling like a super achiever, someone is likely to compete with you, criticize you, judge you, or undermine your progress and success. In 2008, Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia were struggling to pay rent in their San Francisco apartment. Faced with financial desperation, they noticed a design conference was coming to town, and all the hotels were booked. The more you focus, the more you enhance and eventually remaining weaknesses, if any will take a backstage and what you highlight to yourself and the world is your amazing asset. If you look at the most successful people, they may not be totally perfect. They never waited to be perfect.
